A free funscript generator you run yourself
Most things called a free funscript generator are either a web form that wants your
video uploaded, or a trial that watermarks the output. FunGen is a desktop app you
download once. The AI runs on your own machine, and what you generate is a plain
.funscript file that belongs to you.
This is the app doing it, recorded off the screen: an empty timeline, the model filling it in, and a finished script at the end.
What costs nothing
- The app itself. No account, no email, no card. Windows, macOS and Linux.
- The whole editor. A frame-accurate multi-axis timeline, every transform and plugin, chapters, bookmarks and the command palette.
- The Doctor. The full quality check, with its one-click fixes, on any script you open.
- Device playback. Drive The Handy, an OSR2 or SR6, an Autoblow, a Vacuglide or anything on Buttplug.io, in sync with the video.
- The media library and the batch queue. Point it at a folder and let it work.
- A 20 second AI preview on any scene, at full quality, as many times as you like. This is the honest way to judge a model: run it on your own footage before paying anything.
Where the line is
Free AI generation is capped per day. The cap is on how many scenes you can generate, not on how good they are: the free tier runs the same two models at the same quality as the paid one. Unlimited generation is a one-time payment. There is no subscription, no per-scene fee and no watermark on anything the free tier produces.
Scripts you generate or edit are yours. Keep them, share them, sell them. The one thing the licence does not allow is reselling FunGen itself. See pricing for the current figures.
Free because it runs on your hardware
A cloud generator pays for a GPU every time someone presses the button, which is why those services meter you so tightly. FunGen has no server in the loop: the model file ships with the app and runs against your own GPU or Apple Silicon. That is what makes a genuinely useful free tier possible, and it is also why your video never leaves the machine.
What you need
- A video file you already have. 2D, POV or VR, any common container.
- A reasonably recent machine. Apple Silicon, or a Windows or Linux box with a GPU, will generate faster than real time on most scenes. It still works on CPU, just slower.
- Nothing else. No Python, no models to download separately, no command line.
Common questions
Is the free version time-limited?
No. It does not expire and it does not nag. The daily generation cap resets each day.
Do I need a device to use it?
No. There is a built-in on-screen simulator, always free, so you can see a script play without owning any hardware.
Can it do VR?
Yes, with a separate model built for it. FunGen detects fisheye, equirectangular, side-by-side and top/bottom footage and unwarps it before tracking. See VR funscripts.
What if there is already a script for my scene?
Then use it. Generating is for the far more common case where there is not. See what to do when no funscript exists.
