No funscript for your video? Make one.

You searched the scene name and came up empty. That is the normal result, not bad luck: only a small fraction of everything ever released has been scripted, because every script that exists was made by hand, one scene at a time, by a person. The backlog is not going to be cleared.

The way out is not to keep searching. If you have the video file, you can generate a funscript for it yourself. This is that happening, recorded in the app.

What you need

• The video file. Not the title, not a link: the actual file on your disk. The model reads the picture.
• FunGen. A free download for Windows, macOS or Linux. No account.
• About four minutes on a typical machine for a typical scene, often less.

Why searching keeps failing

Script archives and forums index the scenes somebody chose to script, which skews heavily towards recent, popular, big-studio releases. If your scene is older, from a smaller studio, non-English, a compilation, or simply was not somebody's favourite, it was never in the running. Request threads exist, but they compete with thousands of other requests for the same handful of scripters.

Generating sidesteps the queue entirely. The scene does not have to be popular. It only has to be a file you have.

It works on the awkward cases too

• VR. A separate model handles fisheye, equirectangular, side-by-side and top/bottom footage. See VR funscripts.

• Whole folders. Queue a season or a studio's back catalogue and let it run overnight.

Check it before you trust it

Two things keep a generated script honest. First, run the free 20 second preview on the scene before committing to anything: you see the real output on your own footage. Second, the built-in Doctor scores the finished script from 0 to 100 against the device you actually own, flags speed violations, dead zones and missing strokes, and fixes most of them in one click. If a stretch is wrong, the timeline is there to fix it by hand.
