How to play a funscript
FunGen can play a video and its funscript on one clock, then send that motion to a supported device. You can run everything from the desktop or let a viewer on your local network control playback.
1. Open the video and script
Put the .funscript beside its matching video and use the same base filename. Drop
the video onto FunGen; the script should appear as action points on the timeline. If it does not,
choose File > Open funscript and select it directly. Multi-axis companion files
beside the main script are detected automatically.
2. Check that the timing matches
Play and pause with Space, click the timeline to seek, or use the arrow keys to step frame by frame. Check a few distinct moments before connecting hardware. If the script was made for a different encode of the same content, use Transform > Audio-fingerprint sync to calculate the offset, review it, and apply the shift as an undoable edit.
Audio sync can align another encode of the same content; it cannot adapt a script to a different scene. A different scene needs a new script.
3. Connect your device
Click the device chip in the status bar to open the Devices window. Choose the backend that matches your hardware, provide any requested key, address or port, and click Connect. A green device pill in the status bar confirms the connection.
- The Handy: connect directly for live position control, or use script-upload mode after editing is finished.
- OSR2, SR6, SSR1 and other T-Code rigs: connect over serial USB, Bluetooth, TCP, UDP or WebSocket.
- Buttplug-compatible devices: start Intiface Central, then connect FunGen to its local WebSocket server.
- Autoblow Ultra and Vacuglide: use their FunGen backend, which uploads the active script for playback.

4. Start playback
Press Space or use the Play button. The video, timeline and device read from the same playback clock. You can pause, seek and frame-step from the desktop; the connected device follows the active funscript.
5. Enjoy immersive playback in Theater
Theater is FunGen 2's full-screen playback experience. The video fills the screen while your funscript drives the connected device. Playback controls fade away when you leave the pointer still and return when you move it.
Choose Play in Theater from the Library, or use the Theater toggle while working in Studio. You can pause, seek and access device controls without returning to the editing panels. Press Esc to return to the Library or Studio, depending on where you started. Device playback follows the same connection and plan limits as in Studio.
Your Library brings local folders and connected Stash or XBVR collections into the app, so you can find a scene and go straight to playback.
6. Optional: play from a phone, browser or VR headset
Open Stream > Open Stream window, choose the local network interface and port, then start the streamer. Its browser viewer serves the current video and script over your LAN. The HereSphere and DeoVR bridges are separate options and remain off until you enable the one your viewer needs.
When a remote viewer takes control, FunGen shows Remote in the status bar and the desktop follows the viewer's play, pause and seek position. If the remote disconnects, control returns to the desktop automatically.
If playback does not look right
- No action points: open the funscript directly and confirm it belongs to that video.
- Device does not move: reopen Devices, check the connection-status pill and make sure the device is not muted.
- Wrong timing: verify the video encode, then use audio-fingerprint sync only when both files contain the same content.
- Editing changed the result: save the funscript; upload-based devices may need the revised script sent again.
